India, Spain should join hands against terrorism: Modi

Calling terrorism a challenge to the humanity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that India and Spain should work together to deal with this emerging global challenge. He said both the countries have witnessed the menace of terrorism. 
Addressing the media jointly with the President of Government of Spain Mariano Rajoy in Madrid, he said the two countries can cooperate in several areas including infrastructure.

Unable to have his way, Kejriwal fires missive at stickler for rules Chief Secy

Kejriwal asked him to "emerge out of his air conditioned chamber and start mingling with ordinary people, listen to their grievances and solve their problems."

Dasari Narayana Rao is no more

Former Union minister and renowned film director Dasari Narayana Rao passed away in Hyderabad yesterday. He was 75. 
Dasari has been suffering from various health complications for the past few months and he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital last night. 
Rao’s final will be held in Hyderabad today with state honours. 
Born in 1942 in Palakollu in Andhra Pradesh, Dasari directed 151 pictures in Telugu and other languages and had several super hit films to his credit. He entered into Guiness book of Records for directing highest number of films.

Blast near Indian Embassy in Kabul leaves 80 dead

A huge explosion in Kabul, close to the Indian Embassy, left at least 80 people dead and 350 others injured. However, all Indian Embassy staff are safe. 
Though the embassy does not seem to be the target of the blast, which, according to local police was a car explosion, windows and doors of its building have been partially damaged due to the impact of the explosion. 
Iranian Embassy is said to be the target of the explosion, but it was not confirmed by Afghan Government.

Growth failed to translate into jobs: Labour Minister Dattatreya

Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said current growth is a jobless growth, a situation in which an economy recovers from a recession but the job market does not. In this context, he said government's initiatives such as 'Skill India' aim at addressing the jobless growth. 
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Dattatreya said many European and Asian countries, including India, are facing it, but the government's initiatives will address the shortfall in jobs.
