It was a pleasant surprise for IPL fans when they saw Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s children, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, showing up as proxy to represent their father at Saturday’s IPL auction. 

Shah Rukh Khan co-owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. His actor-friend Juhi Chawla, a co-owner of the team, had her daughter Jhanvi Mehta fill in for her at the event.

While fans couldn't be happier to see the 'young' ones taking the lead at the auctions, Juhi Chawla was a proud mother and aunt as she welcomed the 'young owners.'

A total of 590 players -- 370 Indians and 220 overseas -- were under the hammer at the IPL 2022 mega auction, which took place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.
