India vs South Africa 4th T20I Highlights: IND Level Series in Rajkot With 82 Run Win

370

India beat South Africa by 82 runs to level the five match series 2-2 in Rajkot. They has set a target of 170 to the Proteas, but they never looked in charge as they kept on losing wickets. The peak of the bowler was Avesh Khan who had picked up three wickets in a single over as he ended up registering figures of 4/12. Earlier Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya played fighting knocks to help India post a fighting total of 169/6 in 20 overs. Karthik slammed his maiden T20I century to help India recover from a tricky stage alongside Pandya who also scored valuable 46 runs. While it was another disappointing performance from skipper Rishabh Pant who was dismissed on 17 after facing 23 balls.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bowl against India at Rajkot. The hosts decided to go unchanged for the crucial clash as they will look to level the series. While the Proteas made three changes as Quinton de Kock returns in place of Reeza Hendricks. Kagiso Rabada and Wayne Parnell were ruled out due to injury as they made places for Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen.

Rishabh Pant and Co. have a tough task ahead of them to level the series against the in-form Proteas side. After winning the third T20I, India regained some confidence and now they have to keep up the momentum in Rajkot. For India, opener Ishan Kishan has been in tremendous form with two fifties in three matches, while Ruturaj Gaikwad also found his groove back with a half-century in the last match.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s form in the third T20I was a big positive for India going forward in the fourth match, however, skipper Rishabh Pant himself hasn’t been able to contribute much for the team with the ball.

On the other side, Quinton de Kock is expected to return to the South African XI after recovering from the injury. He might replace Reeza Hendricks at the top who have not scored big in the two chances he got.
