Amid tight security, Kashmir is all set to host the third G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) meeting on Monday in Srinagar. The Jammu and Kashmir authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC). The Valley will receive 60 delegates and 20 journalists from different parts of the world for the event.

The three-day meeting is the first big event to be organised in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Security has been beefed up in the Valley after a suspected 26/11-type terror plan was reportedly exposed following the revelations by a detained over ground worker (OGW).

The third G20 tourism working group meeting is set to begin in Srinagar Monday amid elaborate security arrangements. The three-day meeting will see the highest participation of foreign delegates as compared to the two previous meetings, said G20 Chief Coordinator Harshvardhan Shringla Sunday.

“We have the highest representation from foreign delegations for the tourism working group meeting in Srinagar, than we have had in the previous working group meetings. Our experience is that in any working group meeting, to get such a large turnout of delegates not only from G20 countries but also from international organisations that are part of the G20 is an incredible process,” Shringla told reporters.

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who has been accused of sexual harassment by a section of wrestlers, on Sunday said he is ready to undergo a narco test provided grapplers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia take it too. 

In a Facebook post in Hindi, Singh, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, said, "I am ready to undergo narco test, polygraph test or lie detector test, but my condition is that Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia should also take them with me. If both the wrestlers agree to the same, call a press conference and make the announcement. I promise them that I am ready for the test."

He also held a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district on Sunday and said that the protesting wrestlers have become 'toys of politics'.

In an exemplary gesture of respect, Papua New Guinea prime minister James Marape touched the feet of PM Narendra Modi, who arrived in the island nation on Sunday.

As he alighted from the aircraft, PM Modi was greeted by Marape who then bent down to touch his feet.

Papua New Guinea has a tradition of not welcoming anyone post sunset but PM Modi was given a gun salute, a red carpet welcome and was personally welcomed by Marape.

PM Modi is in Papua New Guinea to host the third summit of the Forum for India–Pacific Islands Cooperation on May 22, jointly with his counterpart James Marape.

The Centre on Friday brought an ordinance to set up an authority known as the National Capital Service Authority. 

The authority has been established to make recommendations to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor regarding transfers, postings and other matters.
