#Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Indian Navy Tests BrahMos Precision Strike In Arabian Sea

In a boost to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign, the Indian Navy on Sunday successfully carried out a precision strike test in the Arabian Sea. A ship launched a BrahMos missile with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) designed Indigenous Seeker and Booster.

The missile test was carried out from a Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer warship. "BrahMos Aerospace is continuously working on increasing indigenous content in the missile," Indian navy officials said as quoted by ANI.

The Indian Navy, in a tweet, said, "#IndianNavy’s successful precision strike in the #ArabianSea by ship launched #BrahMos missile with @DRDO_India designed #Indigenous Seeker & Booster reinforces its commitment towards #AatmaNirbharta. #AatmaNirbharBharat."

Last month, the Indian Navy pilots carried out the landing of LCA Tejas (Navy) and Mig-29K onboard the aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. Notably, INS Vikrant is the first aircraft carrier built in India. LCA Tejas is also indigenously-built aircraft. Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned the country's first aircraft carrier at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi in September last year.
