Government launches Legal Aid Scheme in rural India

New Delhi: To make legal aid easily accessible to the marginalised communities and citizens living in rural areas, the Government of India has launched the 'Tele-Law'.
The service has been launched to make legal aid easily accessible to the marginalized communities and citizens living in rural areas. The Ministry of Law and Justice in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will provide legal aid services through its Common Service Centres

Launching the service IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad yesterday said, the legal aid through Tele-Law will fulfill the government's commitment to ensure access to justice and empowerment of the poor.CSCs at the panchayat level, spread across the country.
