Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Kashmir problem would be solved soon and assured that the solution will be reached without any compromise with Pakistan.
He pointed out that certain forces were trying to misguide the Kashmiri youth and assured that this would be dealt with.
Speaking at a programme organised to highlight achievements of the Modi government in the past three years, Singh asserted "Kashmir is ours and so are the Kashmiris".
"Three years ago no one had thought that the BJP would get a clear majority but on assuming power we had to match the expectations of the people who gave us this mandate and we were successful," he said.
