Another Separatist Shabbir Shah Held For Financing Terror In Valley

New Delhi: Jammu & Kashmir police have arrested another separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah in connection with the alleged terror financing case on the instruction of the Enforcement Directorate.

A police team led by the DSP Saddar picked up Shah from his Sanat Nagar (Srinagar) palatial house at about 8.30 pm on Tuesday evening and handed over to Budgam police, the official sources said.

BJP Moves Poll Panel To Cancel Naveen Patnaik’s Assembly Membership

New Delhi: Opposition BJP has requested the Election Commission of India to cancel Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's assembly membership for allegedly misusing government machinery.

A BJP delegation, led by the party's state vice-president Samir Mohanty,  met Odisha's Chief Electoral Officer DN Gupta and also demanded that Patnaik be barred from contesting polls for three years.

China Bound To Be A Threat In The Coming Years, Says Vice Chief Of Army

New Delhi: A top Army official has admitted that China is expanding its influence across the Himalayas in India's neighbourhood and is bound to be a "threat" in the coming years. 

Lt Gen. Sarath Chand, the vice chief of the Indian Army, also lambasted the Pakistan army for targeting civilians in cross-border shelling, stressing they had "stooped so low" as to fire at schools.
