Rahul Offers To Co-Operate With BJP If It Wishes To Pass Women’s Reservation Bill In Parliament

New Delhi: For a long-pending Women’s Reservation Bill the Congress president Rahul Gandhi has come up with an offer for the BJP. The Congress president said that his party would happily co-operate with the BJP if they wish to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament.

Speaking during an interaction programme at the prestigious London School of Economics, the 48-year-old leader said that he has sent a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I have sent a message to the Prime Minister, the day he wishes to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill, entire Congress party is happy to co-operate with BJP,” Gandhi said.

Indian National Lok Dal Plans to Invite Key Regional Parties to Devi Lal’s 105th Birth Anniversary Celebrations

New Delhi:  The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) led by political successors of Devi Lal will invite key regional parties to Lal’s 105th birth anniversary celebrations to cement another broad understanding. Almost three decades after Haryana leader and former deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal played an important role in bringing together opposition parties against the Congress.

Party leader Dushyant Chautala said that the event will be held at Gohana in Sonepat, Haryana, on September 25. Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, who has an alliance with the INLD in Haryana, is expected to be one of the prominent faces at the event.

Indrani Mukerjea’s Lawyer Alleges Conspiracy By Her Son To Get Share Of Property By Sister’s Disappearance

New Delhi:  The lawyer of the key accused Indrani Mukerjea into the over six-year-old Sheena Bora murder case alleged her son Mikhail Bora was hatching a conspiracy to “cause disappearance” of his sister to get her share of ancestral property. Indrani is facing trial for allegedly killing Sheena Bora (24) on April 24, 2012.

During Mikhail’s cross examination before special CBI judge J C Jagdale, defence lawyer Sudip Pasbola alleged that between January and April 2012, Mikhail spoke to Shyamvar Rai, former dirver of Indrani, on phone more than 207 times.

Government Looking For Other Options Instead Of Blanket Ban On Messaging Application

New Delhi:  It has been clarified that the government does not have any intention of imposing a blanket ban on messaging applications. It is looking for other “technical solutions” to curb instances of fake news and misuse of these apps.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a conference in New Delhi, Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Secretary Aruna Sundararajan said that “technical solutions” would be worked out based on technologies such as metadata and artificial intelligence (AI) to address the concerns.

Supreme Court Issues Notice To Election Commission of India On Alleged Duplication In Voters’ List

New Delhi:  Congress state presidents of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan Kamal Nath and Sachin Pilot respectively alleged duplication of voters in the voters’ list of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Election Commission of India in this on petitions filed by these leaders.

A bench of Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan agreed to take up the matter on August 31 and asked the Election Commission to file its response by then.
