Owner Of Delhi’s Bawana Fire Cracker Warehouse Arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested the owner of Bawana fire cracker warehouse following a major fire incident in the unit on Saturday which claimed at least 17 lives. 

Police said,Manoj Jain was arrested last night following a brief questioning with him after the police filed an FIR against him. Delhi government has ordered a thorough probe into the fire and announced an ex-gratia of 5 lakh rupees to the next of the kin of the deceased. 

Delhi BJP President ManojTiwari also announced compensation of 50,000 rupees to the victims of the fire incident.

As many as 17 people, including 10 women, were burnt alive or asphyxiated and 30 others injured in the fire in west Delhi's Bawana yesterday evening. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today visited the injured persons in hospital.
