New Delhi: The 70th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam concluded here on Monday evening with an influential note by Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj for the mankind that materialistic and spiritual prosperity are both essential to experience real peace in life. Material progress is not the only thing that is sufficient to make the world grow, one needs spiritual growth as well and the only way to do that is to make the soul realize the Super Soul through divine knowledge.

In her concluding discourse, Her Holiness said that the 3-day Samagam collated the inspiring thoughts of saints from all over the world in the form of songs, poems and sermons adding beauty and piousness to the whole event.

Satguru Mata Ji explained that we are witnessing so much progress in this world but still there is unrest in every man’s mind since one gets happy with his own progress but is unable to bear even a little progress of others, leading him to distress. Mentioning about how technology has made this world very small, Her Holiness said that the same technology has turned hearts too very small. Man wants everything as per his own self, be it borders of countries, states, languages, caste, creed, black and white colour of skin and so on.

Her Holiness quoted an inspiring dictum, “Let’s wear a mirror so that everyone is able to see their own face" and recalled Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s teachings that said, “Every face seems to be our own in a glass house”.

Her Holiness called upon the participants to take the positive messages given in the Samagam to their cities and sustain them through their deeds. She quoted, ‘Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, but your behaviour does.” Believing is half the battle won but when you put your beliefs into your words and action, only then it shows you are a Nirankari.

The highlight of the concluding session was a multi-lingual poetic symposium presented by a group of more than twenty leading poets of the Mission from various parts of the country and abroad. The theme of the symposium was – ‘Nirankar Ka Le Aadhar, Jeevan Ho Gurmat Anusar ,” meaning that we should make the Almighty God as base of our life and lead the same as per the teachings of the True Master. These poets presented their poems in Hindi, Punjabi, English, Multani and Haryanvi, etc.

Shri Khem Raj Chadha, Vice-President of the Central Planning and Advisory Board and Shri V.D. Nagpal, General Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mandal and Co-ordinator for the Samagam extended their gratitude to Satguru Mata Ji for her constant guidance and blessings to the organizers and the participants involved in the preparations for the Samagam. Shri Nagpal Ji said that Satguru Mata Ji visited the grounds almost every day in the morning and in the afternoon and sometime late in the night also. She visited every residential tent to ensure that the devotees coming from outside find their stay as comfortable as possible.

Shri Nagpal Ji thanked the various Government departments, MCD and other organizations for their whole-hearted cooperation to provide the space as also the facilities of water, electricity and sewerage, etc.

The participants attending the Samagam took keen interest in multi-lingual literature and ACDs/VCDs, calendar, diary etc., encapsulating the history, philosophy and other on-going socio-spiritual activities of the Mission.
