New Delhi: US President Donald Trump's embattled chief strategist Steve Bannon today left his position in Trump’s administration.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement in Washington that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed, that today would be Steve's last day.
However, his loyalty to Donald Trump remained undimmed. In a statement he said “If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents -- on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,”
Bannon, 63, who played a key role in the electoral victory of Trump last year, became the third high-profile White House official to have left the Trump administration in recent weeks.
The other two being the White House Chief of Staff ReincePriebus and the White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer.
