Arun Jaitley Slams Kerala Govt For Political Violence

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday held the CPI-M-led Left Front government of Kerala responsible for unleashing attacks on BJP-RSS workers. 

He was talking to newsmen after visiting the family of a RSS activist, killed by alleged CPIM workers. Jaitley said, whenever the LDF came to power, political violence in Kerala has always increased. 

The senior BJP leader reminded the Left Front government that it is their responsibility to ensure, those indulging in violence are brought to book. 

He also charged that the political opponents of the ruling dispensation were being killed in brutal and barbaric manner in the state.

After a spate of political violence, State Governor P Sathasivam had summoned Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and state police chief Loknath Behra to ascertain the action taken by the government.

Meanwhile, CPI-M state Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has alleged the political violence had increased in the state after the visit of BJP President Amit Shah in early June. He accused BJP of implementing Amit Shah's plan in the state by attacking CPI-M party strongholds.
