
New Delhi: Monsoon is expected to hit Delhi and its neighbouring areas and over parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh in the next two to three days.The Indian Meteorological Department, IMD, has also warned of very heavy rain at isolated places over Konkan and Goa.
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rains along with isolated heavy falls was observed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with upper air cyclonic circulation over north Odisha and neighbourhood.
The Met Department has forecast heavy rains at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep during the next 24 hours.
Strong surface winds with speed reaching 45-50 kmph is likely along and off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh from south-westerly direction and along and off South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from westerly direction during next 24 hours.
The IMD said very heavy rain is likely at a few places in coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
