New Delhi:The monsoon session of Parliament will commence on July 17 and will continue till August 11.The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh met on Saturday evening and recommended the dates to President Pranab Mukherjee.

Parliament may not function on the first day of the session on account of death of LokSabha member VinodKhanna and RajyaSabha member Pallavi Reddy. The voting for Presidential elections will also take place on July 17, the first day of the session.
