New Delhi:At least three terrorists were killed in a gunfight along the Line of Control in Nowgam sector of Handwara area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday. One soldier was also martyred in the operation. Security sources said, the terrorists were killed after troops foiled an infiltration bid.
At least two major infiltration bids were foiled by the forces in the past two days in two sectors in Kupwara which has witnessed a large number of infiltration bids recently besides Bandipora and Baramulla districts. The sources said, the counter infiltration grid remains alert and fully equipped to foil such bids from across Line of Control.
