India on Monday slammed the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) and Pakistan for their attacks over the controversial remarks made by BJP spokespersons against Prophet Muhammad even as the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Jordan joined the chorus of denunciation.

The row sparked by the BJP spokespersons’ remarks continued to inflame passions across the Arab world. Besides, Indonesia also summoned the Indian ambassador and condemned the remarks. Maldives and Egypt, too, condemned the statements.

#TragicAccident: Bus Falls Into Gorge, 25 Yamunotri Pilgrims Killed

In one of the most tragic accidents on the Char Dham yatra route, at least 25 people were killed and five injured when a bus carrying 28 pilgrims from Panna in MP veered off the road and fell into a 150-metre deep gorge near Damta on the Yamunotri national highway of Uttarkashi district on Sunday evening.

Police and local administration said there were 30 people on board, including the vehicle’s driver and helper. Till the time of filing of this report late on Sunday, 25 bodies had been brought out of the gorge.

The BJP is treading cautiously on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s “no need to look for Shivling in every mosque” remark over the Gyanvapi dispute in Varanasi.

Most BJP leaders media spoke to pointed out that three temples — Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, Kashi’s Shiva Temple and Mathura’s Krishna Temple — have been on the party’s agenda for several years, but there was a need to tread cautiously.

“What Bhagwat ji said is right. But it is also true that we cannot forget that temples were destroyed and mosques were built to insult our faith. Yet, he spoke on the larger issue of resolving such issues mutually or through court,” said a BJP leader.

#Groundbreaking: PM Narendra Modi To Lay Foundation Stone of 1,406 Projects in Uttar Pradesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several projects in Uttar Pradesh on Friday (June 3, 2022). PM Modi will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the third Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit today. The prime minister will lay the foundation stone of 1,406 projects worth more than Rs 80,000 crore in the state. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the projects encompass diverse sectors like agriculture and allied industry, IT and electronics, MSME, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharma, tourism, defence & aerospace, and handloom & textiles, among others.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took it to Twitter on Friday morning and said, "Under the guidance of respected PM Narendra Modi ji, `New India of New Uttar Pradesh` has become the best destination in the country for investment. The enthusiasm of investors towards Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0 is a direct proof of this. This ceremony is going to give flight to the aspirations of `New Uttar Pradesh`."

#GandhiFamily: Enforcement Directorate Summons Sonia & Rahul For Questioning in Laundering Case

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul for questioning next week in a money laundering case registered against Young Indian, which owns Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) and its properties worth over Rs 800 crore (market value as estimated by ED).

Sonia and her two children — Rahul and Priyanka — are majority shareholders in Young Indian, which was incorporated by them along with Sam Pitroda and Suman Dubey in November 2010.

While Sonia Gandhi has been asked to appear for questioning on June 8, her son Rahul has sought deferment since he has been travelling overseas.
