In what can be called the ‘breaking the internet’ news of the day, businessman and IPL founder Lalit Modi announced via a social media post that he is ’beginning a new life finally’ with ‘betterhalf’ and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.

Lalit Modi took to his Twitter and Instagram handles to make the official announcement. He shared a mushy post along with a series of pictures from their vacation in Maldives and Sardinia. He also shared a few throwback pictures featuring the duo in their younger days.

High Court issues notice to Mahinder Kaur on Kangana Ranaut’s plea in defamation case

On a plea filed by Kangana Ranaut against her summoning in a defamation case by a lower court, the Punjab and Haryana high court issued notice to Mahinder Kaur of Bathinda. While adjourning the hearing of the case for September 8, in the order the court stated, 'Meanwhile, the trial court shall adjourn the criminal complaint case, as pending before it, beyond the next date of hearing as fixed in the present petition' . The hearing of the defamation case against Kangana shall not take place before the lower court in Bathinda till Kangana’s plea before the HC is heard. On January 4, 2021, Mahinder Kaur had moved Bathinda court for Kangana’s tweet (later deleted), 

calling her Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh famed and writing that such women could be hired into protests for Rs 100.

Vivek Agnihotri says National Emblem row proves one thing about 'urban naxals'

As the artists of the National Emblem atop the new Parliament building asserted that there has been no change in the design, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri slammed the detractors and called them 'urban naxals'. "The new National Emblem at the Central Vista has proved one thing that Urban Naxals can be fooled just by changing the angle. Specially the LOW angle," the filmmaker tweeted as the controversy raged on with the Congress and other opposition parties claiming that the lion had an aggressive look, unlike the icon. The artists said the view from below may have given a distorted impression as it is a large statue.
