On day 9, the film collected Rs 1 crore. According to a report by Koimoi, Rocketry The Nambi Effect's Hindi version has earned Rs 8 crore and counting.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of espionage and tortured in custody. Apart from directing, Madhavan essayed the role of Nambi Narayanan in the film and won laurels for his performance. Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Ravi Raghavendra and several others played supporting roles in this biopic.
