Director Atlee, who is fresh off the success of Jawan that sees Shah Rukh Khan like never before, has said the biggest hit of the year is yet to come, and it’s a film that stars Khan himself.
While speaking to KoiMoi, he spoke about Rajkumar Hirani‘s Dunki and said, “Dunki is going to cross everything. That’s how the eco-system should be. We should grow. We should keep our peaks growing in every film. I have to cross my previous film, of course, I have to cross Jawan in my next. It’s realised with every technician and every actor and ever body in the eco system.”
He added, “Once we are growing, the system is growing so it’s a good sign and I think Dunki is going to do wonders. I am really happy for Mr. Khan sir and I don’t think anyone in the world will have this record. I am also praying and wishing for that.”
When asked about the success of Jawan, the filmmaker said, “You watched the film, you were happy and to see everybody happy, my happiness has multiplied in leaps and bounds. I am super-duper happy. My hard work didn’t go to waste.”
All the actors are going to judge as to what I have done in the past and how good my present script is. Both SRK and I have worked very hard on getting an ensemble. Then we started pitching the story to the actors and thankfully they agreed in the first call itself. We didn’t have any second choices for any actor. Actually if you see all my films are with ensemble casting. Here too in Jawan we have two characters of Shah Rukh Khan one is Vikram Rathore and the other one is Azad. I had to justify these characters. That was the only challenge. Every character of mine has an important presence in the film. SRK killed the roles of both the characters (Vikram Rathore and Azad) like a beast.
