Umran Malik is plying his trade for Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and is troubling the batsmen with his sheer pace. Umran, who first hogged the limelight with his express pace right-arm pace during the 2nd half of IPL 2021, is the quickest pacer in the country at the moment and this has seen him climb the ladder pretty quickly.

He stayed with Team India as a net bowler for T20 World Cup after IPL 2021 and a couple of months later, he made his debut for India A. Umran earned his maiden India call-up for the home series against South Africa in June and made his debut against Ireland later that month.

Hours after BCCI General Secretary Jay Shah announced that India will play next year’s Asia Cup at a neutral venue, Pakistan has reportedly started mulling over the possibility of pulling out from the 2023 ODI World Cup. Pakistan, as per the Future Tours Programme (FTP), are scheduled to host the next edition of the continental tournament while India will be hosting the one-day world cup in 2023.
After the BCCI AGM in Mumbai on Tuesday, Shah had told reporters that “India will play the Asia Cup at a neutral venue.”

India vs Australia Warm-UP Highlights- India win by 6 runs: Brilliant last over from Mohammad Shami (3/4) and fantastic 19th over from Harshal Patel helped India beat Australia by 6 runs in the 1st warm-up clash. While Australia seemed to be cruising with Aaron Finch smashing 79, the complexion changed in the last two overs. Australia lost 6 wickets in the last 12 deliveries to hand the match to India. Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul smashed 50s to help India post 186/7. 

Chasing 187, Aaron Finch gave Australia a brilliant start. With Mitchell Marsh, he brought up 64-run stand, keeping Australia in cruise control. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed Marsh and soon Steve Smith departed, Australia still continued to plunder with Glenn Maxwell and Finch taking charge. The two added 48 runs to take Australia almost through.

Australia batting stalwart David Warner is an injury concern ahead of the third and final T20 International against England at the Manuka Oval here later on Friday, with Steve Smith likely to replace him at the top of the order. Warner had contributed 73 and 4 runs coming in to open in the two T20Is against the visitors. Aaron Finch's Australia have lost the three-match series after Jos Buttler's side won both the games by eight runs to take an unassailable lead in the series, which is crucial for both team in the run-up to the ICC T20 World Cup beginning in just a few days.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is set to make way for Roger Binny as the 1983 World Cup winning hero is on the cusp of taking over the top post. It is believed that Ganguly was keen to carry on as the BCCI chief but fell out of favour. Reportedly, Ganguly was offered the post of IPL Chairman but the former Indian skipper denied the offer. He was eyeing the ICC Chairman post, however, the board isn't too keen to send him to the ICC as well.

Amid all this, Ganguly finally broke his silence during a recent event.  Speaking at a Bandhan Bank event, Ganguly stated that he is now looking to move on to something else.
