It was a dream come true for Argentina players and fans as their team ended their 36-year-long wait as La Albiceleste finally clinched their third FIFA World Cup trophy. It was also the end of a 16-year wait for Lionel Messi who finally tasted success at the FIFA World Cup, winnning his first trophy in what was his last game in the mega tournament. This was indeed a fitting farewell.

The Argentine magician was in superb form at the World Cup, as he clinched the golden ball and finished second in the list of the Golden Boot. Praises have been pouring in from all corners of the world, and now the Brazillian legend Ronaldo too has showered immense praise for Lionel Messi.

"This guy's football throws any rivalry to the corner. I saw a lot of Brazilians - and people from all over the world - rooting for Messi in this electrifying final. A farewell worthy of the genius who, far beyond being a World Cup star, captained an era. Congratulations Messi!" The Brazillian icon wrote on his Twitter feed.

France star forward Kylian Mbappe was consoled by French President Emmanuel Macron after France's loss against Argentina in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mbappe was clearly distraught after France lost the World Cup final on penalties against Argentina. He was approached by Macron, who offered words of consolation to the 23-year-old. Mbappe was also approached by Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez after the penalty shoot-out.

Kylian Mbappe was the best player on the pitch, scoring a hat-trick and becoming just the second player to achieve this feat in World Cup finals since Brazilian legend Pele.

Keshav organised a dance show where he invited his mother and other family members. Arsenal ‘will make an attempt’ to sign Cristiano Ronaldo according to a report which claims transfer chief Edu is ‘gaining ground’ in the race for the former Manchester United star.

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with Al-Nassr in recent weeks and he reportedly has a £173m offer on the table from the Saudi Arabian side.

And head coach Rudi Garcia has admitted that he “would be delighted” if he got the chance to work with Ronaldo.

Lambasting New Delhi for its "nefarious terror activities" in Pakistan, Pakistan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday termed India a "rogue state", saying though it projects itself as the "greatest victim" of terrorism, it is the perpetrator of it, media reports said.

"We are also at a unique place because nobody is willing to call the bluff. Nobody is willing to call out the clear simple glaring hypocrisy in this whole act," said Khar in a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad, Geo News reported.

Khar's presser came a day after Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that India's footprints are seen in all terror activities carried out in Pakistan.
