Living in Pakistan is like living in hell, I stayed without food for many days: Simon Doull

in SPORTS

Simon Doull has made a shocking reveal and said that he stayed without food for many days after his comments on Babar Azam. Before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Doull was in Pakistan for commentary duties during the Pakistan Super League (PSL). During the tournament, Dull had criticised the Peshawar Zalmi captain for slowing down whenever he reaches close to a century.

"Rather than putting the team first... the last little while, that's all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still, so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first," Doull said.

No room for that in this format: Simon Doull questions Virat Kohli's intent during 44-ball 61 vs LSG

in SPORTS

Former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull wasn't delighted after Virat Kohli took his own time to get to his half-century in Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday, April 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Kohli was unbeaten on 42 runs off 25 balls after the end of the powerplay. But from there on, he slowed down a wee bit and took 10 more balls to go from 42 to 50.

Doull was critical of Kohli, saying that batters can't afford to play for "personal milestones". Anjum Chopra and Sanjay Majrekar, Doull's fellow commentators, didn't speak a word and stayed silent.
