Australia's former cricketer Ed Cowan called out England's 'hypocrisy' over their stand on the dismissal of Jonny Bairstow in the second test match of the Ashes.

On the final day of the second Ashes test, a debate started on the cricketing fair play as Australia's Alex Carey stumped Bairstow at 10 runs off 22 balls. Bairstow left the final ball of Cameron Green's over alone to the wicketkeeper and started walking outside the crease assuming the ball was dead. However, an alert Carey realised there was an opportunity to run the batter out and effected a directed hit at the striker's end to catch Bairstow well short. The footage shows Jonny Bairstow, the wicketkeeper, trying to run out Marnus Labuschagne, pretty similar to the way Alex Carew would run him out on the final day of the Lord’s Test.

An unprecedented fans' rage was seen at the Lord's after Jonny Bairstow's controversial dismissal in the morning session on Day 5 of the second Ashes Test.

Fans booing Australian players, Usman Khawaja exchanging words with one of the members inside the long room were the repercussion as the Bairstow run out spiced up the final day.

The incident unfolded in the 52nd over of the England chase of 371 when Bairstow was given out after Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey threw the ball at the stumps after the England batsman walked out of his crease after ducking under a Cameron Green bouncer.

Sports Ministry clears Vinesh and Bajrang's abroad training proposals

Wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, who had sought time till August 10 to prepare for Asian Games and World Championship trials, are set to leave for Kyrgystan and Hungary respectively for training with Sports Ministry approving their tours.

The two wrestlers, who were at the forefront of the protest against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, had sent their proposals a few days back.

The wrestlers are set to leave in the first week of July, a clear indication that they will not return to streets for protest, as they had announced on social media recently.
