Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's "egg campaign" against NEET exam has sparked a row, with the AIADMK calling it a drama. The ruling DMK began a massive signature drive to collect 50 lakh signatures in 50 days against NEET.
Chief Minister MK Stalin also gave his signature, and Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin held an egg in his hand with NEET written on it to represent, in his own way, that you only need to get zero marks in NEET to get a PG Medical seat.
Terrorist group Hamas on Monday said they freed two more hostages who were abducted from Israel on October 7. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's latest remarks about his Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav have sparked a new political debate in the state. While speaking to the media alongside Tejasvi on Saturday, Nitish put his arm around the shoulder of his deputy and said, "Now, this kid means everything to me". This has raised a new question in political circles about whether the Janata Dal (United) supremo was hinting at handing over the baton to Tejashwi, the son of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Congress released the second list of the candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023. The grand old party fielded 43 candidates in the second round. Among the prominent names, the party fielded Govind Ram Meghwal from Khajuwala constituency, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from Civil Lines. At the same time, Parsadi Lal Meena is set to contest assembly polls from Lolsot.
The party released the first list of candidates on Saturday which included the names of CM Ashok Gehlot who is set to contest from the Sardarpura Constituency and Sachin Pilot who will fight the assembly elections from Tonk.
The weather experts have forecasted the formation of twin cyclones, which include Cyclone ‘Tej’ in the Arabian Sea and Cyclone ‘Hamoon’ in the Bay of Bengal, a rare event which was last observed in 2018. As per the latest update by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone 'Tej', brewing in the Arabian Sea, has strengthened into an extremely severe cyclonic storm on Sunday and is heading towards the Yemen-Oman coasts.
