ED moves Delhi HC to challenge CBI Court order in Satyendar Jain case

The Enforcement Directorate has moved the Delhi High Court challenging the order of the special CBI court that stated that a counsel should remain present with the Delhi Government minister Satyendar Jain during his interrogation by the central agency. The minister is in the custody of the central agency till June 9 in an alleged money laundering case.  

After Jain’s arrest by the ED, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the centre could arrest Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia next in a fake case. Kejriwal said, “After Satyendar Jain, central agencies want to arrest Manish Sisodia in a fake case. The central government has asked central agencies to lodge a fake case against Manish Sisodia. Sources have confirmed that the Centre wants to arrest Sisodia.”

West Bengal: Railway officials say 'not invited' to overbridge inauguration it majorly funded

A controversy has been started in the name of an inauguration of a road overbridge above the Kamarkundu railway track as railway officials say that they are unaware of the opening.

Senior Divisional Engineer, Coordination, S K Yadav, wrote a letter to the District magistrate Hooghly about the matter and said that the overbridge has been constructed on a cost-sharing basis by the Indian Railways and the West Bengal government.

ASI agrees to UP seer's demand, relocates Lord Krishna image inside Taj Mahal

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has agreed to Uttar Pradesh seer's demand and has shifted an image of Lord Krishna inside the Taj Mahal. The seer had demanded the photo of Radha-Krishna be relocated as the portrait was reportedly placed near to a washroom.\

Following the protest staged by Orai seer Matsyendra Goswami, ASI has shifted the image away from the washroom region.

According to ASI sources, the seer had recently visited the Taj Mahal and objected to the placement of the image of Lord Krishna, which, according to him, was too close to the toilet. India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which maintains the picture gallery, was asked to make the necessary changes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is losing up to 100 soldiers a day during Russia's invasion of the country.

In an interview to media in Ukraine's capital Kyiv on Tuesday, Zelenskyy said the situation elsewhere in the country is "difficult."

'The most difficult situation is in east of Ukraine, in Severodonetsk, in Lysychansk," he said. "This is the names of cities in the regions in the east of Ukraine, and the situation in the east of Ukraine is very difficult."

Maharashtra: Seven candidates in fray for Rajya Sabha polls after their nominations declared valid

Seven nominations comprising three from BJP, two from Shiv Sena and one each from NCP and Congress for Rajya Sabha election were on Wednesday declared valid while two nominations by independents Akshay Sanap and Shyamrao Kadam invalid during the scrutiny. So seven candidates are in fray and both the Maha Vikas Aghadi and BJP have launched hectic parleys with independents and smaller parties to seek their votes. The polling is slated for June 10.

BJP has fielded union minister Piyush Goyal, former state minister Anil Bonde and former MP Dhananjay Mahadik, while Shiv Sena has renominated Sanjay Raut for the fourth time in a row and the Kolhapur district unit chief Sanjay Pawar.
