Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi said the community won’t forgive Salman over blackbuck case: Delhi police

Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has said his community will never forgive Bollywood star Salman Khan unless he tenders a public apology for killing a blackbuck, considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, the Delhi Police special cell said on Sunday.

Around a fortnight before Bishnoi made the revelations during his interrogation in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Salman Khan’s lawyer in the blackbuck poaching case Hastimal Saraswat received a death threat in a letter allegedly sent at the behest of the Bishnoi gang, a senior police officer said

The letter reportedly warned the lawyer “to meet the same fate as Sidhu Moosewala”, the officer added.

Crack in UP Opposition ranks as Rajbhar attends Yogi dinner for Murmu

In a seeming crack in the Opposition ranks in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Presidential election, Om Prakash Rajbhar, a key ally of Samajwadi Party, on Friday evening attended a dinner hosted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in honour of NDA’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu in Lucknow.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and party MLA, Shivpal Yadav, also attended the dinner held at the CM’s official residence.

Notably, a day ago, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Rajbhar did not attend a press conference held by Akhilesh Yadav and RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary in support of Yashwant Sinha, the joint candidate of the Opposition parties for the presidential poll. After Amarnath tragedy, flash flood, shooting stone warning for vulnerable points

Cloudburst is the reason that has been attributed as a cause of death of at least 13 Yatris in a flash flood near the Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. But was it indeed a cloudburst? J&K DGP Dilbag Singh said 13 pilgrims were killed in the cloudburst that hit the area at around 5.30 pm. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that it was not a cloudburst.

Every year, IMD releases a special weather advisory for Amarnath Yatra. The general, daily forecast for the district on Friday was of yellow alert (means, keep watch). Even the evening forecast, up on the Amarnath Yatra forecast website at 4.07 pm, said, “Partly cloudy sky with possibility of very light rain” for all along the route from both Pahalgam side and Baltal side. There was no accompanying warning.

Addressing the media, Thackeray — who is struggling to keep his flock together — said there was no pressure on his party and the symbol would stay with his faction. “People are asking me how I was not aware of all this [rebellion]. I had an idea about how things are moving but I was unwell. Even an ordinary person in the party has been given the highest respect.”
