Navy Confirms Merchant Ship MV Chem Pluto Attacked By Drone Near Indian Coast, Launches Probe

MV Chem Pluto, the merchant vessel which was carrying 21 Indian crew members and one Vietnamese crew member and was earlier reported under drone attack on December 23, reached the Mumbai port on Monday. Following the recent attacks in the Arabian Sea, Indian Navy has decided to deploy Guided Missile Destroyers, INS Mormugao, INS Kochi and INS Kolkata in several areas to maintain a deterrent presence.

Upon MV Chem Pluto's arrival, the Indian Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team conducted an inspection of the vessel to make a preliminary assessment of the type and nature of attack.

All schemes run by previous govt to continue in MP, says CM Yadav; house adjourned sine die

"The passage of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 is a watershed moment in our history. These Bills mark the end of colonial era laws. A new era begins with laws centered on public service and welfare," he said in a series of posts on X, soon after the three bills, already passed by Lok Sabha, was cleared in Rajya Sabha. It's a testament to India's commitment to reform as they bring the country's legal, policing and investigative systems into the modern era with a focus on technology and forensic science, he added.
