Reaffirming India's commitment towards ensuring a TB-free society, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the country was working towards meeting the target of eradicating tuberculosis by 2025, five years ahead of the global target.
"Year 2030 is the global target to eradicate TB but India is now working on the target of eradicating the disease by 2025," PM Modi sad while addressing the 'One World TB Summit' in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The PM had called on India to achieve the target by 2025, five years ahead of stipulated time, in March 2018, during End TB summit held in New Delhi.
