#Delhi: Raj Niwas Secretariat Returns Files To Govt After SC Order

The Raj Niwas Secretariat has returned the files related to Services matters to the Delhi Government in light of the Supreme Court's order last week on transfers and postings of bureaucrats in the city. According to Raj Niwas officials, "the LG Secretariat, in compliance of the Supreme Court Constitution Bench Judgment dated May 11, has returned files pertaining to Services matters, back to the Government for necessary action"..

These files include proposals for extension of contractual tenure of staff in various Delhi Government Hospitals and acceptance of resignation of a Group 'A' staff of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital. These were sent to the LG for approval.

#Operation Dhvast: Several Detained After NIA Conducts Raids In 324 Locations In Terrorist-Gangster Nexus Cases

The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday conducted raids in 324 locations across eight states in connection with terrorist-gangster-drug smugglers nexus cases. The federal agency, in coordination with Punjab Police and Haryana Police, seized a huge cache of arms and munitions during the raids under “Operation Dhvast” reported news agency ANI. 

Several suspects were detained during the raids conducted in eight states — Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chandigarh, and Madhya Pradesh — and a huge cache of arms and ammunition was seized, besides other incriminating material, reported the news agency.

#Indian Navy To Conduct Sea Trial Of Its First Indigenous Fast Interceptor Boat In Goa Today

The Indian Navy is all set to conduct the maiden sea trial of its first indigenous Autonomous Fast Interceptor Boat (A-FIB) from Goa to Mumbai between May 18 and 22, a Naval spokesperson said on Wednesday, reported news agency PTI.

The spokesperson said, "Continuing with the impetus for indigenisation, 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and with the aim to harness cutting edge technologies for maritime capabilities, an Autonomous Fast Interceptor Boat (A-FIB) is capable of autonomous operation in dense maritime traffic."

The boat will be flagged off from Vasco on Thursday morning, according to PTI.

The "biggest takeaway" for the Congress from its Karnataka win is that it needs to always start early for any polls and put in extra hard work, political campaign strategist Naresh Arora said on Monday as he credited the party's 'guarantee' pitch for the electoral triumph.

Arora, who worked closely with Karnataka Congress president D K Shivakumar and also conceptualised several of the party's campaigns in the run up to the May 10 assembly polls, said he was sure that a decision on the chief ministership of the state will be arrived at in consultation with Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar.

Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has on Monday repeated the allegation that huge corruption has taken place in awarding contracts to install Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled cameras across Kerala under Safe Kerala project to check traffic rule violations.

Speaking to media persons in Trissur, Ramesh Chennithala alleged that an amount of Rs 232 crore was spent on implementing the AI project, which could have been implemented for less than Rs 100 crore.
