#Wrestlers'Protest: There Seems No Headway In The Demand For Justice As Wrestlers Resume Their Job

The leading lights of the movement, Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, have resumed their duties in the Indian railways though they have asserted that their stir demanding action against Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Saran Singh for allegedly sexually harassing several members of their ranks will continue. Their move comes close on the heels of a meeting they had with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Does this mean the government has managed to break the back of the athletes in their quest for justice?Images of the women wrestlers being pinned to the ground and dragged by police personnel on the same day that Prime Minister Narendra Modi bowed to male seers in saffron robes at the inauguration of the new Parliament building on 28 May proved to be bad optics for the BJP government at the Centre.

#Odisha Train Accident A Conspiracy By TMC, Phones Of Rail Staff Tapped: BJP's Big Allegations

Amid the ongoing barb attacks among the political parties over the train mishap in Odisha that shook the nation, West Bengal leader of the opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has said that the accident was TMC's conspiracy. He alleged that the people of TMC, with the help of the police, tapped the phones of both railway officials else how they would know about the conversation between two railway officials. Adhikari also asked why CM Mamata's party is panicking over this incident which occurred in another state.

Slamming the TMC, Adhikari said, "This incident is TMC's conspiracy. Why have they been panicking so much since yesterday when this incident is of another state? Why are they afraid of CBI investigation? These people with the help of the police tapped the phones of both the railway officials. How did these people know the conversation between two railway officials? How the conversation got leaked."

#WFI: 'Life At Stake, Job A Small Thing': Wrestlers Protesting For Action Against Ex-WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh

Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia on Monday claimed that the people who are trying to discredit them and force them to give up their fight for justice against former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Singh, were now coming after their jobs.

The statement came on the heels of several reports claiming that the protesting grapplers, including Sakshi Malik, had withdrawn from the stir and rejoined their respective government jobs.

The wrestlers, however, issued a clarification saying they had resumed work as Officer of Special Duty (OSD) in railways but the reports suggesting that they have withdrawn from the protest are just "rumours". According to sources, the wrestlers resumed their respective jobs last week itself.
