The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may sound upbeat about Rajasthan as it relies on people upholding tradition to vote out the party in power every assembly elections and number of corruption charges made against Ashok Gehlot government, its leaders aren't resting or being complacent.

West Bengal Governor Dr CV Ananda Bose on Wednesday night refused to accept the joining report of State Election Commissioner (SEC) Rajiva Sinha, ahead of the July 8 panchayat polls, a well-placed source at the Raj Bhavan said.

The step came hours after Sinha failed to appear before Bose after he was summoned for an explanation of the incidents of murders, violence and clashes during the nomination filing for the panchayat poll earlier this month, the source said.

The tax department is considering this move for the purpose of levying Tax Collection at Source (TCS), reported news agency PTI quoting sources familiar with the development.
