#Gujarat: Kejriwal, AAP RS MP Sanjay Singh move court for expeditious hearing on application challenging summons in defamation case

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party colleague and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Monday moved a plea before the sessions court here for expeditious hearing of their revision application challenging the summons issued to them by the trial court in a criminal defamation case.

Sessions Judge AV Hirpara said he will pass an order on the application for expeditious hearing on Tuesday.

The two AAP leaders are facing a criminal defamation case filed by Gujarat University over their "sarcastic" and "derogatory" statements in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree.

#Chandrayaan-3 Landing To Be Postponed To August 27? ISRO Makes Big Statement

If any factor regarding the lander module appears unfavourable, then the landing will be shifted to August 27, said the Space Applications Centre-ISRO about Chandrayaan-3 on Monday. Nilesh M Desai, director of Space Applications Centre-ISRO, Ahmedabad said that the decision regarding the landing will be taken based on the health of the lander module and the conditions on the Moon.

"On August 23, two hours before Chandrayaan-3 lands on the Moon, we will decide on whether or not it will be appropriate to land it at that time based on the health of the lander module and the conditions on the Moon. In case, if any factor appears to be not favourable, then we will land the module on the Moon on August 27. No problem should occur and we will be able to land the module on August 23,” Director Desai said.

#Race to the Moon: Russia loses Luna-25; Chandrayaan-3 prepares for soft landing on August 23

Russia on Sunday confirmed that its first moon mission in 47 years had failed as spacecraft Luna-25 crashed into the surface of the Moon after spinning into an uncontrolled orbit.

Around the time the Russian space agency Roscosmos broke the news, the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) announced that Chandrayaan-3 was all set to land on the south pole of the Moon on August 23 at 6.04pm.

“Chandrayaan-3 is set to land on the moon on August 23, 2023, around 18:04 Hrs. IST. Thanks for the wishes and positivity! Let’s continue experiencing the journey together,” Isro announced on X (formerly Twitter).

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said the central government changing names of institutions named after Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah cannot erase them from history.

"They (government) cannot change history by changing names. Can they remove the names of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Jawahar Lal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi from history? They removed chapters on Mughal rule from textbooks but how will they erase the Mughals from history?" Farooq Abdullah told PTI.
