Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday demanding that the Government of India should provide 33 percent reservation to women in the Parliament. He urged PM Modi to pass the women's reservation bill in the special session of Parliament beginning September 18.

Chief Minister KCR also informed that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Parliamentary Party in its meeting today had passed a resolution demanding to provide 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislatures. He requested that the Government of India should take action in this regard in the upcoming special session of Parliament. 

In a major boost to Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence forces, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) on Friday accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for nine capital acquisition proposals during a meeting under the chairmanship of Rajnath Singh. these proposals are worth Rs 45,000 crore.

All these procurements will be made from Indian vendors under the Buy (Indian-Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDMM)/Buy (Indian) category which will give a substantial boost to the Indian defence Industry towards achieving the goal of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’," the defence ministry said in a statement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday made a blistering attack on the Congress-led Opposition, saying the newly formed INDIA alliance wants to finish the Sanatana Dharma and the Sanatana Culture. "INDIA Alliance has decided that they will eradicate India's Sanatan culture; These people want to destroy India's culture, they want to destroy India," PM Modi said.

Eight people including pilot and co-pilot were injured after a private aircraft veered off the runway at the Mumbai airport on Thursday.

The eight passengers are admitted to the Criticare Asia Hospital in Mumbai's Andheri East.

In an exclusive information accessed by a news channel, Pakistan has shifted all its terror camps and launch pads near LoC to increase infiltration in the area.

These terror camps have recruits from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen, sources told News18.

The route maps, accessed by News18, show infiltrators using multiple entry routes to avoid any incident of firing by the Indian security forces.
