#ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Congress Or BJP, Which Party Could Win Rajasthan Election

As Rajasthan gears up for the November 25 assembly elections, ABP and CVoter reached out to the voters of the state to find out which party or alliance in their opinion will win the upcoming assembly elections in the state. 

In Rajasthan, where the Congress party is in power, 47.7 per cent of respondents think that BJP can win the upcoming assembly elections in the state, followed by 42 per cent of voters thinking that Congress could retain power. As many as 10.3 per cent of respondents did not express a clear opinion.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan announces 20-member team to probe blast at convention center in Kalamassery

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday announced a special 20-member team to probe the blast that took place at a convention center in Kalamassery, killing two persons and injuring more than 40 people.

“What happened in Kalamassery is very unfortunate. Currently, 41 people are hospitalised, 27 people admitted in Ernakulam Medical College…4 people discharged. 2 people have died, and 5 are critical. A special team led by ADGP Law and Order will be investigating this incident...20 members will be in the investigating team. An all-party-meeting has been called for tomorrow", he said at a briefing in Thiruvananthapuram.

Caught unawares by the death sentence in Qatar to eight Indian nationals, all former personnel of the Indian Navy, Delhi is faced with tough legal and diplomatic challenges as it plots a way out.

India is now looking at a range of possible legal and diplomatic options to provide relief to the eight men now on death row.

According to a report in the Financial Times, the eight Indians had been charged with spying for Israel. There was no official word on the charges from the Indian side.

Trinamool Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra in an interview with India Today on Friday explained that she gave her Parliament login and password to Darshan Hiranandani as there is no rule as to who can have the login and who can not and no MP puts the questions themselves. The login and the passwords remain with their team. "But then an OTP comes and it comes to my phone only. It does not go to Darshan's phone. Only when I provide the OTP, the questions are submitted," Mahua Moitra said dismissing all charges brought against her by advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.

#Priyanka Gandhi, Himanta Biswa Get EC Notices For Their 'Objectionable' Remarks

The Election Commission on Thursday issued separate notices to Congress's Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma for their alleged objectionable remarks while campaigning in poll-bound Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh respectively.

In its notice to Priyanka over her remarks about religiosity of PM Narendra Modi and to Sarma over his "communally-charged" remarks and "unverified allegations against Congress leader Mohammed Akbar", EC said they prime facie violate the model code provision requiring criticism of other parties to be confined to their policies and programmes and not extend to aspects of private life of party leaders and workers or be based on unverified allegations and distortion.
