#Farmers Will March To Delhi In February Over Their Demands

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-political) on November 7 said farmers will march to the national capital in February after holding mahapanchayats across the country in the next three months over "anti-farmer" policies of the central government. The organisation held its national executive meeting here and formulated the strategy for its movement over various demands.

#India is expected to use 'all its capacities' to end Israel's attack in Gaza: Iranian President Raisi

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi during a call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, urged India to use "all its capacities" to end the Israeli actions in Gaza amid the ongoing conflict.

According to the Iranian readout of the call between the two leaders, Raisi recalled India's struggles against Western colonialism and the country's position as one of the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement in the world

"Today, India is expected to use all its capacities to end the Zionist crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza," the statement read.

#Congress' Adhir Ranjan Says Collegium To Appoint CIC, IC ‘Futile Exercise’ As Government Has Majority

Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the collegium to appoint the information commissioners and the CIC is a “futile exercise”, as the government has a majority in the committee and it does as it pleases.

Chowdhury was unavailable for the meeting to select the CIC and ICs called on Friday. He claimed that he had asked the government to hold a meeting by early morning on November 3, since he was travelling outside the capital and to Kolkata for pre-decided important engagements. “I was told that PM and HM were busy with the election campaign and cannot find any other time, while the appointments were urgent. I may be a small leader but I also have important meetings. I waited in the city for a long time hoping that a meeting could be called accommodating my schedule. I only left Delhi on November 3 afternoon,” he told to a national daily.

#HC Stays Trial Court Summons To Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Wife Sunita Till February 1

The Delhi High Court on Monday stayed the summons issued to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal by a trial court in relation to a case alleging the latter holds two voter IDs.

Issuing notice on the plea by Sunita, Justice Amit Bansal stayed the trial court order till February 1 next year, when the matter will be further heard.

“Issue notice.. In the meanwhile, there shall be a stay on the impugned order, till the next date of hearing," the high court ordered.

#Delhi's Air Quality ‘Severe’, Noida AQI Improves; Gurugram, Faridabad Schools Colleges Closed

Air quality across Delhi continued to remain in the ‘severe’ category on Tuesday, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) website showed. While Delhi recorded air pollution levels seven to eight times above safe standards on Monday, schools in the capital have been directed to suspend physical classes, except for classes 10 and 12, until November 10, the odd-even car rationing system returning from November 13 till 20 to combat the severe air pollution.

In Gurugram, classes from nursery to class five will remain suspended till further orders to protect school children from rising pollution in NCR. Faridabad's deputy commissioner Vikram Singh has also ordered the closure of schools till October 12 for children from class one to five from Tuesday.
