The United States did not give Israel any kind of green light for its raid on Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital, the White House said. The decision was taken by the Israeli military, White House asserted after Israeli forces pushed into Al-Shifa hospital raising fears for the safety of thousands of patients, staff and other civilians who were left stranded.

"We did not give an OK to their military operations around the hospital," National security council spokesman John Kirby said after Hamas lambasted US president Joe Biden and said that he was "wholly responsible" for the raid.

The Israeli military on Wednesday said it was carrying out a raid against Hamas terrorists in Gaza's Al Shifa Hospital, in a bid to urge the terrorists to surrender. According to a hospital official, Israeli forces had raided the western side of the medical complex, news agency Reuters reported. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved 24,000 liters of diesel fuel to be used by trucks for United Nations operations in the Gaza Strip. 

Two days ahead of the voting in Madhya Pradesh for the 230 assembly seats, the political rhetoric has intensified in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a mega roadshow in Indore covering three constituencies. The 55-minute-long roadshow was earlier scheduled to cover five to six assembly seats but the plan was changed at the last minute. Earlier addressing a rally in the state, the BJP leader said that Modi's guarantee means a guarantee to fulfill the guarantee. He accused the Congress of being corrupt and not fulfilling the promises made.

After battling a prolonged illness, Sahara Group founder and Chairman Subrata Roy passed away on November 14 following a cardiorespiratory arrest. According to reports, Subrata Roy was 75 at the time of his death and is survived by his wife Swapna Roy and two sons, Sushanto Roy and Seemanto Roy, who live abroad. 

Mourning the demise of Roy and outlining the reason for his death, the Sahara India Group said in a statement that Roy has been battling complications arising from metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes. The official statement read: "With profound sadness, the Sahara India Pariwar informs the demise of our ‘Saharasri’ Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker and Chairman, Sahara India Pariwar. Saharasri ji was an inspirational leader and a visionary, who passed away on November 14 at 10.30 p.m. due to cardiorespiratory arrest following an extended battle with complications arising from metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes.
