Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC), which rules out holding any negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelensky`s press service reported.
The document, published on Zelenskyy`s website, on Tuesday said that Ukraine's NSDC deemed holding talks with Putin "impossible".

DRI seizes over 5 kg gold worth Rs 3 crores at Coimbatore airport

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 5.6 kg gold worth Rs 2.94 crores at Coimbatore airport on Monday.

The DRI officials intercepted six passengers at the Coimbatore airport on the basis of specific intelligence gathered.

The passengers brought gold in concealment from Singapore to Coimbatore by Scoot Airlines flight on October 3, in their baggage.

The gold, brought by the passengers, was in the form of crude chains and bangles. The gold was recovered from their pant pockets, underwear and baggage.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Monday accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers of showing "utter disregard" towards the commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries on October 2. In a letter, the Delhi LG said neither Kejriwal nor his ministers were present at Raj Ghat and Vijay Ghat, memorials to Gandhi and Shastri, even as President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and representatives of foreign missions in India among others were there to pay homage.

"It is with a deep sense of pain, regret and disappointment that 1 draw your attention towards the utter disregard displayed by you and the Government headed by you towards the commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti and the Jayanti of Bharat Ratna, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji yesterday", the Delhi LG said in the letter.

#IAF: With Light Combat Chopper 'Prachand', India's Firepower at China, Pak Borders Gets Big Boost

Adding a significant punch to its combat capability, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday inducted its first batch of indigenously-made Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), named Prachand.

While attending the induction ceremony of the Made-in-India helicopters at Rajasthan’s Jodhpur Air Force base, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the move will enhance India’s capability and boost defence production.

“There could not have been a better time for the induction of LCH other than Navratri, in the land of warriors, Rajasthan,” he said.

#Punjab: Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government wins confidence vote amid walkout by Congress MLAs

The Bhagwant Mann-led government on Monday won the confidence vote in the Punjab Assembly amid a walkout by the Congress legislators.

Mann had moved the confidence motion in the state Assembly on September 27 while accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to topple his government and alleging that the Congress is siding with the party.

Earlier, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had claimed that at least 10 of its MLAs were approached by the BJP with an offer of Rs 25 crore each in a bid to topple the six-month-old government under its “operation lotus”.
