#ISRO: India’s Largest Rocket Set To Launch 36 Satellites For UK-Based Company

Onboard its biggest vehicle and the first Indian rocket with a 6-tonne payload, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch 36 broadband communication satellites Sunday.

The Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LVM3) mission is the first multi-satellite commercial mission for the rocket.

The launch is being done for the UK-based company OneWeb which is also supported by Bharti-Airtel. The mission was procured by ISRO’s newly-functional commercial arm, NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

#Mumbai: BMC Deputy Commissioner Submits 5,000-Page Inquiry Report To Civic Chief on Illegal Studios

BMC Deputy Commissioner Harshad Kale has submitted a 5,000-page inquiry report about illegal studios constructed at Malad Marve, Erangle village and Madh area to the Commissioner's office. Nearly 43 witnesses have been examined to prepare the report. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Chahal is out of the country for official work. Kale refused to reveal any details about the report.

On September 6, Chahal issued a notification stating that between 2021 and 2022, around 49 complaints had been received by the BMC from citizens alleging that several illegal studios have been constructed at No Development Zone (NDZ) and Coastal Regulatory Zone (CRZ) at Malad Marve and Madh.

#Storm: Low-Pressure Area Over Sea Intensifies, Cyclone Likely To Be Formed By Oct 24

A low-pressure area over the north Andaman sea that on Saturday intensified into a depression, around 1,460 km south-southeast of Sagar Island in West Bengal, is expected to take the shape of a cyclonic storm by October 24, the IMD said in its bulletin.

The weather system moved west-northwestward and concentrated into a depression on Saturday at 8.30 am, close to west of Andaman Islands, the bulletin said.

"It is expected to move northwestward and intensify further into a deep depression over east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal by October 23 morning. The system is then very likely to re-curve gradually north-northeastwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over central Bay of Bengal by October 24 morning," the IMD stated.

The Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter (TEDBF) for the Indian Navy to be manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will be operationally ready in eight years after approval from the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), a senior Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) official told News18.

The ADA, under the Defence Ministry’s Department of Defence Research and Development, is responsible for the design and development of the aircraft.

In an interview to a news channel, project director of the LCA (Navy) and TEDBF at ADA, TV Vinod Kumar said the estimated cost of the four prototype aircraft to meet the Navy’s requirements and get them qualified within the set timelines is around Rs 14,000 crore.
