After India’s foreign minister S Jaishankar hailed Russia for being India's ‘exceptionally steady and time-tested partner', US State Department spokesperson Ned Price admitted that the United States failed to be India's partner when it needed.

“When it comes to India’s relationship with Russia, we consistently made the point that it's a relationship that developed and was cemented over the course of decades. It really came to be during the cold war at a time when the United States was not in a position to be an economic partner, a security partner, a military partner to India," Ned Price said.

#NIA: Corrupt People 'Destroying' Country, They Get Away With Help of Money: SC During Hearing on Bhima Koregaon Case

Corrupt people are destroying the country and they get away with corruption taking the help of money, the Supreme Court said on Wednesday. The top court's oral remark came while it was hearing a plea filed by activist Gautam Navlakha that he be placed under house arrest instead of judicial custody in the Elgar Parishad case. Opposing his plea, Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, appearing for the National Investigation Agency (NIA), told the top court that people such as Navlakha want to destroy the country. "Their ideology is of that type. It is not that they are innocent people. They are persons involved in actual warfare," Raju said. A bench of justices K M Joseph and Hrishikesh Roy then remarked, "Do you want to know who is destroying this country? People who are corrupt. Every office you go into, what happens? Who takes action against the corrupt? We should be accused of being biased."

#Congress: Big Statement on Bharat Jodo Yatra, Party To Take Out Similar March From 'East To West'

The Congress will take out a march similar to the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra between the eastern and western regions of the country before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, party leader Vibhakar Shastri said on Tuesday. Shastri, who is Bharat Jodo Yatra's in-charge for Rajasthan, said the ongoing foot march will enter the state in the first week of December and a massive rally is planned at Malakheda in Alwar district. "A rally from East to West is also proposed. A road map is being prepared. It will be done before the Lok Sabha elections," Shastri told reporters here. He said the Bharat Jodo Yatra is "completely non-political" and is aimed at reducing the gap between the rich and poor, creating harmony in the country and raising issues such as inflation and unemployment.

#HimachalAssemblyPolls: 26 Congress Leaders Join BJP; Jairam Says BJP Will Rule For 25 Years

Several state Congress leaders and members of the state including Dharampal Thakur Khand, the former general secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee, joined the BJP on Monday, days ahead of the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

A total of 26 leaders of the Congress party quit and joined the ruling BJP with four days to go for the vote to be cast. This comes as a big jolt to the Congress party with less than a week to go for the polling, according to news agency ANI.
