#Hindutva: BJP Links Rahul Gandhi's Mahakal Temple Visit To Gujarat Polls

With a flowing beard, donning a white dhoti and a vibuti on his forehead, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited the Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain on Tuesday. The BJP has called it a "desperate attempt" to gain Hindu votes ahead of the Gujarat elections.

At Mahakal temple, the Wayanad MP offered prayers to Lord Shiva and Lord Nandi. The visit drew criticism from the BJP, which linked the temple visit to polls in Gujarat.

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya led the charge, calling Rahul Gandhi a "chunavi Hindu" who only displays his Hindutva during polls.

#ShraddhaWalkarCase: Aaftab Poonawala Confesses Killing Her in Polygraph Test; Multiple Relationships: Report

Aaftab Amin Poonawala is believed to have confessed to killing Shraddha Walkar and disposing of the body parts in the polygraph test, news agency ANI reported citing sources of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini where the test was conducted. Aaftab also confessed to being in relationships with several girls, the report said. Aaftab's polygraph test was over on Tuesday as he had the last session of it at the Forensic Science Laboratory. On Monday, the police van carrying him came under attack.

Confession in a polygraph test is not admissible in court but the police sought the test to ascertain whether Aaftab was telling the truth or misleading the investigation. Also, confessions at a polygraph test may lead to the recovery of some material evidence. . Now, his narco-analysis test remains to be done.

#China Hints At Relaxing Zero-COVID Policy As Protests Rage

China on Tuesday said it will take steps to "minimise" the impact of its draconian coronavirus lockdowns, amidst the unprecedented public protests against President Xi Jinping's stringent zero-COVID policy that evoked strong support from the UN, the US and other nations.

The anti-zero Covid protests in the last few days in several Chinese cities, including Shanghai and Beijing, which turned political with calls for Xi to step down showed signs of abetment with no demonstrations reported as police stepped up crackdown with visits to homes of protestors in different places.

Seeking to address international concerns, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said China has been adjusting the zero-Covid policy based on the changing circumstances.

#Rajasthan: Gehlot, Pilot Seen Together for First Time Since 'Gaddar' Remark, 'We Are United'

In a show of unity, Rajasthan Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot were seen together on Tuesday for the first time since the Rajasthan Chief Minister’s “gaddar” remark which had reignited a war of words between the two leaders a few days back. They were seen together along with over 30 Congress leaders at a meeting for the part’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, scheduled to enter Congress-run Rajasthan on December 4.

In a video from the meeting, Gehlot and Pilot were seen greeting each other. Congress leaders spoke to reporters after participating in the meeting and party general secretary KC Venugopal told the media, holding both leaders’ hands, “We are united. Here Ashok Ji and Sachin Pilot Ji have said that the Congress party in Rajasthan is united.” Venugopal reiterated former party president Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in Indore on Monday when he had said both Gehlot and Pilot are “assets” to the Congress.
