Congress MP KC Venugopal on Sunday stated why Rahul Gandhi is not going to attend the winter session of Parliament. He said that Rahul is currently on the Bharat Jodo Yatra and it won't be "practical" for him to attend the winter session of Parliament. "Today in the meeting of the Congress Steering Committee, we discussed two things. First is the plenary session of our party which we have decided to hold in the second half of February. It will be a 3-day session which will be held in Raipur, Chattisgarh," he said. The Bharat Jodo Yatra in Assam did not manage to get as much support as it expected from Congress workers.

The Assam version of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' of the Congress has completed one month. It started from Dhubri district and is set to cover a distance of 834 km from Dhubri to Sadiya before it ends in mid-December.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday, December 3, 2022, took a swipe at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleging that he and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi are the "B and C teams" of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"Asaduddin Owaisi and Arvind Kejriwal are the B and C team of BJP," Baghel said while speaking to ANI.

He further took on the AAP chief and said that the people of Himachal Pradesh, where Assembly elections were recently held, have "rejected" Kejriwal.

"The people of Himachal rejected Arvind Kejriwal, then he reached Gujarat, the people of Gujarat also rejected Arvind Kejriwal, now he is in Delhi's MCD elections, clearly Arvind Kejriwal and Owaisi Working as B and C team of Bharatiya Janata Party," he said.

A Delhi court on Saturday discharged former JNU student leader Umar Khalid and `United Against Hate` (UHA) member Khalid Saifi in connection with the Northeast Delhi riots case. However, the court did frame charges against former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor Tahir Hussain, his brother Shah Alam and others in the case.

The FIR in the case in question was registered at Khajuri Khas police station. The case pertains to an incident of arson in a parking lot in the Chand Bagh area of N-E Delhi and assault on police personnel and others who had taken shelter from rioters there.

Gangster Goldy Brar, allegedly the mastermind behind Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder in May, has been detained in the US, sources have told NDTV. A member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Goldy Brar had recently moved to the US from Canada, where he was based since 2017.

The gangster was detained in California around November 20, the sources said, adding that the Indian government is yet to receive any official statement from California.

Brar, who owned Moose Wala's murder in a Facebook post, moved to the US reportedly under pressure. He had been living in Fresno city and had cities like Sacramento, Frizow, and Salt Lake as his safe house.
