RBI clears Rs 24,773.11 Cr CCL, Mann thanks Centre for timely release

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday cleared a sum of Rs 24,773.11 Crore towards the Cash Credit Limit (CCL) up to the end of April-2022 for the procurement of Wheat in Punjab during the ensuing Rabi Marketing Season (RMS).

Expressing gratitude to the Centre for timely release of CCL, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said it would go a long way in ensuring seamless procurement of Wheat during the current marketing season.

With this, the bulk of the CCL sought by the state government for the purchase of 132 lakh tonnes of Wheat for this season has been released by the Central bank.

NCLT yet to receive notice from Piramal Capital under IBC: Reliance Power

Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Power (RPL) has clarified that the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Mumbai has not received any notice from Piramal Capital and Housing Finance Ltd (PCHFL) which had reportedly filed bankruptcy proceedings against RPL and its subsidiary Reliance Natural Resources Ltd (RNRL) earlier this week.

The company, in a regulatory filing on Saturday, informed that "an application under Section 7 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, has been filed against the Company and its subsidiary Reliance Natural Resources Limited (RNRL) by Piramal Capital and Housing Finance Limited in relation to financial claim of Rs. 526.10 Cr due from RNRL."

India needs over 2000 single-aisle aircraft in 20 years, says Boeing

Boeing on Friday said Indian airline operators need over 2000 new single aisle aircraft over the next 20 years.

South Asia's air travel sector is dominated by the Indian market, which accounts for about 90 percent, the US aircraft maker said in a press release.

"Indian operators will need just over 2,000 new single-aisle airplanes to meet demand during the forecast period. Single-aisle airplanes such as the 737 family will continue to serve growth in domestic and regional markets, including flights from India to the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions," it said.

I-T searches Hero MotoCorp offices, Pawan Munjal’s residence

The income Tax Department on Wednesday conducted search operations on multiple premises of two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp. Tax officials said the search operations were part of a tax evasion investigation against the company. The operations started in the morning hours.

The company, however, issued a statement later in the day, terming the exercise a “routine inquiry, which is not uncommon before the end of the financial year”.
