With the panchayat polls in Odisha around the corner, Biju Janata Dal supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seems to be giving a push to his pro-people schemes. On Friday, he began the distribution of smart health cards under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in Malkangiri district.
During Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneswar, Naveen Patnaik had announced that smart health cards would be given to 3.5 crore people in the state under BSKY.
These smart health cards were distributed to people during a programme at Sanskruti Bhawan in Malkangiri district on Friday. Sukri Dhangidi Majhi, a woman from the Bona tribe, was the first recipient of the smart health card from the chief minister at the event.
