New Delhi: Prime Minister of Italy Paolo Gentiloni arrived in New Delhi on a two day visit to India on Sunday. The visit coming after a gap of more than a decade, is aimed at strengthening the bilateral political and economic relations between the two countries. The last visit of the Italian Prime Minister to India was in February 2007. 

During his stay in New Delhi, MrGentiloni will call on President Ram NathKovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister NarendraModi on Monday. He will also hold delegation Level talks with MrModi. 

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has asserted that the future of the country's economy and employment creation is heavily dependent on the success the nation achieves with Digital India.

Terming Information Technology as "a force multiplier" for the entire service economy, Kovind said it has played a game changing role in health-care, education, tourism and many other industries.

"The future of our economy and of our employment creation is heavily dependent on the success we achieve with Digital India," Kovind said after launching the Kerala government's ambitious Technocity project near Thiruvananthapuram.

New Delhi: The United States has asked Pakistan to liquidate terrorist groups operating in the country and end the establishment support for such groups, warning that if Islamabad chose not to act, Washington will find ways to achieve its objectives.

Days after US Secretary of States Rex Tillerson stopped in Islamabad for four hours to deliver a blunt message that American support to Pakistan was ''conditions-based,'' senior US officials who accompanied him on the trip signaled that Washington had devised other ways to achieve its objective of eliminating terrorist groups and stabilising Afghanistan.

New Delhi:  A total of 6 lakh passengers descended on the New Delhi Railway Station per day this festive season.
AnandVihar Terminal, New Delhi Station, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Old Delhi (or Delhi Junction) are some of the widely-used transit terminals in the national capital, according to an official statement.

The Anand Vihar Terminal handled 80,000 passengers per day during the Diwali and Chhat rush this year. The terminal handles 50,000 passengers on a normal day.
