JaitleyCriticisesCongress Leader P Chidambaram For Remarks On Greater Autonomy For J&K

in DNDQuick

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister ArunJaitley has taken a dig at senior Congress leader P Chidambaram over his remarks of greater autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to reporters in Shimla yesterday, MrJaitley in Shimla said that the former Home Minister's comments had come at a very "inopportune" time, when the government was dealing with terrorism with a heavy hand and terrorists were on the run.

He asked what more rights Mr Chidambaram wanted when all the rights and powers except defence, external affairs, telecommunication and currency were with Jammu and Kashmir. Asserting that the Kashmir issue was Pakistan's "unfinished agenda post partition", MrJaitley said the neighbouring country had been indulging in war and terrorism to create trouble.
