New Delhi: The CBI has submitted its chargesheet against jailed DeraSachaSauda (DSS) chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim and two doctors in connection with the castration of hundreds of followers inside the dera. 

The chargesheet was filed before the special CBI court in Panchkula which had earlier convicted Gurmeet of rape.

The two doctors — Dr PankajGarg and Dr M P Singh — have been charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means, criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation and cheating.

New Delhi: Prime Minister NarendraModi on Thursday termed the Union Budget 2018-19 as farmer, common man and business environment-friendly as well as development-friendly. 

In a televised address on Doordarshan News after budget presentation in Parliament, Modi said that it focuses on issues ranging from agriculture to Infrastructure. He said, the budget covers aspects such as health plans to address the concerns of the poor and middle class. It has plans to increase the wealth of small entrepreneurs.

The Prime Minister said, the budget is expected to give a boost to hopes and aspirations of 125 crore people of the country. It is expected to accelerate the development process of the country, Ease of Doing Business as well as Ease of Living. 

New Delhi: US Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo has defended talks he had at CIA headquarters last week with Russian spy chiefs at a time of strained ties between Washington and Moscow and political bickering over allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.

A US intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, accused Moscow of disclosing the visit partly to fuel political discord in Washington over investigations of a Russian interference campaign that is rankling President Donald Trump and some of his fellow Republicans.

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said the ruling BJP has failed to deliver on any of its promises and will be shown the door in a year's time when the country goes to polls.

Mounting a scathing attack on the Modi government hours after the Union Budget 2018-19 was tabled in Parliament, Rahul claimed the budget had been a disappointment to all sections of the economy, be it farmers, the youth or industry and businesses.

"4 years gone; still promising FARMERS a fair price.4 years gone; FANCY SCHEMES, with NO matching budgets.4 years gone; no JOBS for our YOUTH. Thankfully, only 1 more year to go," he said in a tweet.
