New Delhi: India has told Pakistan in no uncertain term that it must show seriousness towards fighting terrorism and asserted that talks and terror cannot go together.

External affairs ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said the relations between the two countries are marred by cross-border terrorism and state support to extremism and terrorism by Islamabad.

Responding to a question during the #Askthespokesperson series on a solution to the Kashmir conflict and India's ties with Pakistan, Kumar said there was a lack of compliance by Pakistan on fighting terror and the use of non-state actors creates a very difficult atmosphere for any meaningful dialogue.

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has carried out "successful" test flight of its Rustom 2 drone, a medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), at Chalakere in Karnataka's Chitradurga district.

Rustom 2 is being developed on the lines of predator drones of the US to carry out surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) roles for the armed forces with an endurance of 24 hours, officials said.

"DRDO successfully flew its Rustom 2 today at its Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) at Chalakere at Chitradurga. This flight assumes significance due to the fact that this is the first flight in user configuration with higher power engine," a statement read.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that the Congress party will have only Puducherry chief minister V Narayanasamy after June to showcase as a Congress CM in the country.
 
“Narayanasamy will become a showpiece for the Congress party. Do you know why? After June, Congress will have only Narayanasamy to showcase as its chief minister in the country,” he said while addressing a public meeting in Puducherry.

Modi sought the intellectuals in the country to analyse the reasons for the lack of progress in the country and asked them to compare 48 years of rule directly or indirectly by one family with the 48-month rule of the present BJP government at the Centre.

New Delhi: BJP leader and Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has visited the Jinnah House in south Mumbai.

"Visited what is known as Jinnah House, Malbar Hill, Mumbai, a heritage building under the possession of @ICCR_Delhi; along with local MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha ji! Reviewed present conditions before preparing a plan for its rejuvenation and purposeful use!" Sahasrabuddhe tweeted.

Last month, Lodha demanded that the central government acquire Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah's house in Mumbai under the amended Enemy Property Act.
