Flag Meeting Between BSF, Pakistan Rangers In Jammu

New Delhi:A flag meeting was organized between officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on the International Border (IB) in Jammu district on the request of Pakistan Rangers.

The BSF officials said the flag meeting was held on the request of Pakistan Rangers.“Today at about 10.35 a.m., a Sector Commander-level flag meeting was held between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers at zero line on Octroi border outpost in Suchetgarh sector,” the officials said.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) BSF frontier headquarters Paloura, Jammu, P.S. Dhiman and 11 other officials participated from the Indian side. Brigadier Muhammad AmjadHussain and seven other officials of Pakistan Rangers came from the other side.

Amit Shah Get Preparing For 2019 Polls; Holding Back-To-Back Meetings

New Delhi: BharatiyaJanata Party president Amit Shah is so busy occupied in making strategy for 2019 LokSabha elections that he fails to show up for International Yoga Day in Delhi while Prime minister NarendraModialong with his 69 ministerial colleagues participated in it.

On being asked a senior BJP leader on condition of annonimity said that this must not be looked at if he was making a distance from it rather he was too busy with his meeting which were pre-decided. He had to meet leaders from the BJP and other affiliate organisations.

The BJP president is in Delhi for two days before he goes to Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that Shah was also invited to participate in a programme at Kota in which Rajasthan chief minister VasundharaRaje and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev were supposed to participate but he did not give his assent. However, the venue where Shah was supposed to participate as chief guest was attended by BJP national general secretary (organisations) Ram Lal, general secretary Arun Singh, Union minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, national spokesperson SambitPatra, media cell co-convener SambitPatra and headquarters in-charge MahendraPandey.

Pune Police’s Economic Offence Wing Arrest BoM Officials For Loan Scam

New Delhi: MD and CEO of Bank of Maharashtra RavindraMarathe, executive director Rajendra Gupta and two other bank officials including Marathe’sprecedessor have been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of the Pune police for allegedly disbursing crores of rupees in loans to DSK Developers Limited (DSKDL) without following proper procedure and in violation of the RBI guidelines.

The police said that these arrests were part of the ongoing probes into the Rs 2,043 crore economic fraud said to have been committed by Pune developer D S Kulkarni, alias DSK, and his group of companies here,.

BJP Claims West Bengal Has Become Hotbed of Political Killings, Demands Mamata’s Resignation

New Delhi:The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday hit back at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for terming the saffron party a ‘militant organisation’. The party demanded that she should resign from the post as the state has become a ‘hotbed of political killings.’

Senior BJP leaders accused the Trinamool Congress supremo of being a "champion of appeasement politics", and her party a "heaven for anarchists". BJP's General Secretary KailashVijayvargiya, who is also the party's in-charge in West Bengal, said, "Mamata (Banerjee) is the champion of appeasement politics and there is total anarchy and lawlessness in the state under her rule." Who is Mamata Banerjee to give the BJP a "character certificate", he asked and said that the people of the state will "teach her a lesson" in the next election.

Kamal Hassan Meets Rahul Gandhi To Discuss Political Situation In Tamil Nadu

New Delhi: Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan on Wednesday met Congress president Rahul Gandhi to discuss political situation in Tamil Nadu and he also met withElection Commission officials in connection with the registration of his party MakkalNeedhiMaiam.

After the meeting with the poll panel officials, he told reporters that he expected his party, which was launched in February, would get registered soon. “I came here for a formal meeting. They (EC) asked certain questions. They are not having any major objection,” he said.

To a query, 63-year-old Haasan said the Election Commission officials told him that his party’s registration would be done soon. He, however, said the officials did not specify any time frame for it.
