150 Sugarcane Farmers From Across The Country To Meet PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet 150 sugarcane farmers from across the country. The not only to hear their problems but also to share the government plans and assistance provided to them. The government recently allocated a package of Rs 8000 crore for sugarcane farmers.

Sources said that sugarcane farmers will be accompanied by Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, BJP member from Rajya Sabha Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Arun Singh. The PM will interact with the delegation at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The delegation will mainly consist of farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Maharashtra and Karnataka with members of the delegation having no political background. The government's intervention and initiative taken for the sugarcane sector are likely to come up during the meeting.

Telengana Government to Built Agriculture Infrastructure to Maintain Growth Trajectory

New Delhi:The focus of the newly carved out state Telenganais to provide as more amenities to farmers, generate employment and built infrastructure considering the need of the state. The Telenganagovernment, where maximum number of suicide was taking place after Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh states, has come up with such a model that has enabled a growth at 22 per cent -- the highest in the country.

Telengana Irrigation, Marketing and Legislative Affairs minister T Harish Rao said that without building infrastructure the proper growth of the state was not possible. The government has plans to irrigate 1 crore acres of land so it is working in that direction. However, in the meantime 18.75 lakh tube well have been given free electricity in the state for that the government is spending Rs 6,000 crore per annum. So now the government is working on the lasting solutions.

ED Joint Director Accuses Hasmukh Adhia Of Siding With Scamsters, Affiliates

New Delhi:A joint director of the Enforcement Directorate, in his letter dated June 11, 2018 forwarded to the Revenue Secretary HasmukhAdhia by ED Director Karnal Singh, Joint Director Rajeshwar Singh asked a series of uncomfortable questions from Revenue Secretary ranging from ignoring his promotion, "compromising National security", set scores on an ego trip among others. The joint director, who probed the 2G scam and Aircel Maxis case, has made a scathing attack on Adhia questioning him if he has developed animosity against him by "siding with scamsters and their affiliates".

Meanwhile, sources in the finance ministry said charges levelled by Rajeshwar Singh against the Revenue Secretary are absolutely baseless. The letter became public through informal channels after Supreme Court on Wednesday told the government that it was free to look into the "serious" allegations against Singh apparently withdrawing the immunity from probe given by it to the officer earlier.

Armed Forces All Set To Get A Department To Tackle Cyber Warfare

New Delhi:The Indian Armed Forces plan to get a new body which would tackle cyber warfare. IT would comprise around 1,000 personnel drawn from all three wings of the military. The Defence Cyber Academy would defend military assets and also use its capabilities to fight proxy cyber warfare.

It may be recalled that Army chief Gen BipinRawat stressed on exploiting cyber space for advantage of defence forces, saying the "tech-savvy" terrorists operating from across the borders are using it for their benefit and if the armed forces don't stay ahead of them, they may never be able overcome terrorism.

PM Draws Parallels Between Emergency and Congress’s Impeachment Move Against CJI

New Delhi: Prime Minister NarendraModi said that the mentality of the Congress remained unaltered over the years. The PM drew parallels between the ‘dark days’ of the Emergency when democratic institutions, including the judiciary, were ‘devalued’ and the Congress’ recent move to push an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice of India.

Modi was speaking at an event organised by the Mumbai unit of the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) in the city on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Emergency, to express gratitude for those who fought against it. He led a frontal attack on the main Opposition party and the Gandhi family, without naming them.
